The Bridal Collection - Behind the Scenes
Thursday, June 18 2015
The 17th century National Trust owned Ham House was the beautiful backdrop of the Alie Street bridal shoot. Situated along the river Thames in Richmond, we shot the bridal collection photos and videos in the famous house gardens using the Wilderness, Orangery and secluded Rose Gardens.
Using an old dairy as our base for the day, we started the day by prepping and priming for the shoot. The model (former miss England) had her hair and makeup done to make her look wedding-ready with the perfect bridal makeup!
In the morning we headed to the front of the house where we shot our beautiful dresses against the 17th century façade. We later made our way to the formal gardens and rose gardens, with the whole team working hard throughout the day to get that perfect shot!
The afternoon took us to the wilderness, with its backdrop of gates and outhouses (which doubled up nicely as an impromptu shelter for makeup retouches). Taking inspiration from the wild flowers growing in the garden, we plaited the models hair with lavender creating an ethereal style.
The final shots were taken against the backdrop of The Orangery building, against a beautiful wall of wisteria.
The Alie Street bridal collection is now available to purchase. Made in the UK out of beautiful British fabrics, each Alie street wedding dress is created with form and fit in mind. Feel wonderful on your special day, in an Alie Street wedding dress.
