It started with a picnic! Celebrating our latest Real Bride couple who met online and enjoyed the most wonderful wedding with their closest friends in the Lake District. Suzanne wears our elegant Katherine Dress - and doesn't she look spectacular.

Where did you both meet?

Against all our previous thoughts about online dating, that's exactly where we met! We both surprised ourselves by how we never stopped chatting on our first meeting and that as they say was just the beginning! We walked and talked non-stop on a lovely day with a picnic stop on the top of Whitbarrow Scar, South Lakes.

Where did you get married and why did you choose this venue?

Neither of us wanted any fuss so we chose Kendal Registry Office as this was both the simplest and closest to our new home. We had two lovely, good humoured friends as witnesses followed by afternoon tea at the Holbeck Ghyll Hotel in Windermere. The Holbeck Ghyll really spoiled us and looked after us so well. We chose this venue as the afternoon tea looked superb, and indeed it was! The location also offers beautiful grounds, views and backdrop which was perfect for our photographs. We then went on to the Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa in Borrowdale for our honeymoon where we spoilt ourselves with a deluxe suite. What a fabulous place! Cannot fault the fantastic food, service and staff. This was definitely the right place for us, nestled amongst the Fells!

Tell us about the dress!

After discovering Alie Street, I very quickly spotted the perfect dress for me. Katherine. Classic shift style, pale cream in colour veiled in beautiful soft lace. A discreet side zip and knee length hem just reaffirmed this was the right choice. Definitely designed for real women's' curves!

Any advice for brides planning a wedding?

Whatever your wedding plans or dreams, just remember it's a day that should be filled with laughter and smiles. Vows are serious, but laughter and smiles are both infectious and healthy!

Any fun facts?

The funniest amazing fact was that we were blessed with four days unprecedented glorious hot weather! Amazing!!
